Tony nominee Melissa Errico’s American Songbook concert, filmed at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in April, airs June 21 at 9:30 PM ET on PBS-NJ/WNJN; check local listings. The concert will also be available to watch online at MyNJPBS.org.
Along with sharing personal and professional stories, Errico performs a selection of Stephen Sondheim favorites, including “Getting Married Today,” “Send in the Clowns,” and “No One Is Alone.”
Ted Chapin, former president of the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, hosts the evening, which includes his onstage Q&A with Errico. An encore broadcast is scheduled for June 23 at 3:30 AM.
A Tony nominee for her performance in Amour, Errico has also been seen on Broadway in Anna Karenina, My Fair Lady, High Society, Dracula the Musical, and Irving Berlin's White Christmas.
The AmericanSongbookatNJPAC series will continue with Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin, Hamilton),airing June 28.
