Witches near and far, the previously announced return of Jay Armstrong Johnson’s annual Halloween concert-meets-party I Put a Spell on You will be streamed by Broadway On Demand during Halloween weekend. The event will return live and in-person to New York City’s Sony Hall October 23, and will become available to stream October 30 at 7 PM. The stream will remain available for the following four days. Both the in-person concert and the streaming version will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

In search of beauty, youth, and immortality, the bewitching Sanderson Sisters are back from the dead—did someone light the black flame candle?—and gather their most famous friends to help them lure the children of New York. Johnson will return as Winifred Sanderson, with Allison Robinson and Amanda Williams Ware returning as sisters Sarah and Mary, respectively. Following the concert inspired by the cult favorite Halloween film Hocus Pocus will be a dance party, and a costume contest.

”Partnering with Broadway On Demand is a great way for the fans that we have amassed over the past two years of our virtual album to still be able to join us in the celebration,” Johnson said. “They have supported us and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS with such enthusiasm, we wanted to show them our appreciation.”

“We are honored to be the official streaming platform for I Put a Spell on You,” says Broadway On Demand parent company Broadway Licensing President and CEO Sean Cercone. “Given the vital support provided by Broadway Cares, with its fundraising and grant-making contributions across the nation, we feel that Broadway On Demand is the perfect partner to provide online viewing access to this marquee event for theater fans across all 50 states.”
