Film & TV News Netflix Looks to Broadway to Cast a Retirement Community Full of Superheroes For Their Upcoming The Boroughs

Produced by Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers, the show is the latest under their production deal with the streamer.

A new supernatural mystery show, called The Boroughs, is coming to Netflix, and its cast is chock full of Broadway talent.

Produced by The Duffer Brothers (Stranger Things) as a part of their contract with Netflix, The Boroughs will star Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Denis O'Hare, Clarke Peters, and Bill Pullman, with show runners Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance) at the helm.

The drama, which has been ordered for eight episodes, will feature a pilot directed by Ben Taylor (Sex Education, Catastrophe), who will also serve as Executive Producer and direct additional episodes.

The logline for The Boroughs is as follows: "In a seemingly picturesque retirement community, a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have… time."
