Sarah Lunnie will join Off-Broadway's The Public Theater as senior dramaturg. The permanent staff position follows her work on The Public's Out of Time and its 2020 audio production of Anne Washburn's Shipwreck.
Lunnie comes to the company with a long career focused on dramaturgical support during the creation and development of new plays. On Broadway, she's worked on What the Constitution Means to Me; Hillary and Clinton; A Doll's House, Part 2; and Grand Horizons, along with Off-Broadway's The Thin Place, Mrs. Murray's Menagerie, and Miles for Mary.
She was previously associate artistic director of Jungle Theater, literary director of Playwrights Horizons, and literary manager at Actors Theatre of Louisville.
Lunnie studied theatre and creative writing at Boston College.
