Streaming Broadway on Demand Now Streaming Something in the Game: An All-American Musical

The streaming platform will also offer Hugh Salmon's Into Battle.

Theatre streaming platform Broadway on Demand has announced two productions that will make their North American premieres on the platform: the Notre Dame football musical Something in the Game: An All-American Musical and Off West-End's Into Battle, based on the true story of a feud at England’s Oxford University in 1910.

Something in the Game: An All-American Musical, currently streaming, tells the story of the late Knute Rockne, football coach for University of Notre Dame. Presented by the American Music Theatre Project and Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts at Northwestern University, David H. Bell (Elmer GantryHot Mikado) directs and choreographs the show, which features a book by Buddy Farmer, music by Michael Mahler, and lyrics by Bell and Mahler.

Beginning September 28, Into Battle will also be available for streaming. Based on the true story of a 1910 feud between Oxford University students Keith Rae and aristocratic Billy Grenfell, the bitter feud captured the disastrous gap between the rich and poor in Britain at the time. But with the arrival of World War I, Rae and Grenfell both became soldiers and died alongside each other on the same day while serving in the same regiment.

Into Battle marks the playwriting debut for Hugh Salmon. It stars Sam Barrett, Anna Bradley, Iain Fletcher, Gabriel Freilich, Molly Gaisford, Joe Gill, Alexander Knox, and Nikolas Salmon under the direction of Ellie Jones.
