Following a three-year hiatus, Elf the Musical will launch a holiday tour November 8-9 at the Koger Center for the Arts in Columbia, South Carolina. The production will subsequently play Columbus, Detroit, Durham, Fort Worth, Jacksonville, and St. Louis with more cities to be announced.

The NETworks Presentations production will be directed by Sam Scalamoni with choreography by Connor Gallagher. Casting will be announced.

“This heartwarming story is a holiday classic,” states Mark Kaufman, executive vice president of Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, which produced the original Broadway production in association with Unique Features. “We’re elated to send Buddy and all his joy and Christmas spirit across the country at a time when we all need a little lift.”

Based on the 2003 New Line Cinema film starring Will Ferrell, Elf features a book by Tony winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone), with songs by Tony nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer). The musical made its Broadway debut in 2010 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and returned there in 2012.
