RuPaul's Drag Race winner Monét X Change is taking her solo show Life Be Lifin' on the road.
The work, a Playbill Pick at 2023's Edinburgh Festival Fringe, has dates planned in Washington, Oregon, Coloradio, Utah, Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, and California through May.
X Change is known for her comedy and fierce lip-sync skills, but she gets surprisingly vulnerable in Life Be Lifin', which takes audiences on a journey through the drag star's adolescence to college studying opera performance, worldwide stardom via RuPaul's Drag Race, and beyond. But this solo turn is not just another cabaret memoir show. X Change has crafted a revealing story about the search for her inner voice, in her hands dramatic at one turn and side-splitting the next.
The show, which played Joe's Pub in NYC in January, will embark on its latest tour beginning April 30 at Seattle, Washington's The Neptune.
