To see Broadway favorite Jackie Burns, you'll have to head downtown. Burns took over the role of Céline Dion in Off-Broadway's Titaníque July 18, succeeding Nicole Parker—and new production photos featuring the Wicked alum (and Broadway's longest-running Elphaba, having also played the role in the musical's national tour) have been released. Titaníque continues its run at the Daryl Roth Theatre.
Burns has also appeared on the Main Stem in If/Then and Off-Broadway in Rock of Ages.
The cast also stars Lindsay Heather Pearce (Mean Girls, Wicked) as Rose, Michael Williams (Cruel Intentions The Musical) as Jack, Anthony Murphy (Diana The Musical) as Victor Garber, and Brandon Contreras (Almost Famous) as Cal, along with Russell Daniels (80’s Prom) as Ruth, Anne Fraser Thomas (Hercules) as The Unsinkable Molly Brown, and Avionce Hoyles (Bat Out of Hell) as The Iceberg. Courtney Bassett, Brad Greer, Dimitri Moise, Nya, and Kristina Walz round out the company.
Parodying the Oscar-winning blockbuster film Titanic, Céline Dion commandeers a tour at the Titanic Museum and delivers her version of what really went down between Jack and Rose with hits by the iconic singer, including "My Heart Will Go On," "All By Myself," and "To Love You More." The musical is currently playing an extended run through January 7, 2024, at the Daryl Roth Theatre.
Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli co-wrote the musical with production director Tye Blue. Titaníque features music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Nicholas Connell, choreography by Ellenore Scott, scenic design by Gabriel Hainer Evansohn and Grace Lauchbacher for Iron Bloom Creative Production, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Paige Seber, sound design by Lawrence Schober, wig design by Tommy Kurzman, and prop design by Eric Reynolds. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Rachel Hoffman, Henry Russell Bergstein, and Andrew Fern.
The work transferred from the Asylum Theatre to the Daryl Roth last year.
