Off-Broadway's Atlantic Theater Company is resuming its 2024-2025 season after settling a contract dispute with IATSE and ending a strike of its backstage workers earlier this month. The strike had closed the company's world premiere productions of Grief Camp and I'm Assuming You Know David Greenspan, both of which were in previews. Both will now return.

Mona Pirnot's I'm Assuming You Know David Greenspan will kick things off March 29 in the company's Atlantic Stage 2 space, with a run now continuing through April 30. Directed by Ken Rus Schmoll, the solo show sees Greenspan starring as four millennial women in a work about making a living as a playwright. The production also features sets and costumes by Arnulfo Maldonado and lighting by Yuki Nakase Link. Aaron Elgart is the production stage manager.

Grief Camp, by Elya Smith and directed by Les Waters, will start back up in the Linda Gross Theater April 5 and run through May 11. Described as "a study of loss and adolescence," the work takes place in a lone cabin in rural Virginia. The production stars Arjun Athalye (Goosebumps) as Bard, Maaike Laanstra-Corn (Homofermenters) as Blue, Jack DiFalco (The Ferryman) as Cade, Alden Harris-McCoy (Dear Evan Hansen) as Guitarist, Renée-Nicole Powell as Olivia, Dominic Gross as Gideon, Lark White (Covenant) as Ester, Danny Wolohan (The Welkin) as Rocky, and Grace Brennan as Luna. The creative team includes set designer Louisa Thompson, costume designer Oana Botez, lighting designer Isabella Byrd, sound designer Bray Poor, effects designer Jeremy Chernick, and casting director Taylor Williams. Becky Flemming is the production stage manager.

Nsangou Njikam's A Freeky Introduction will take Atlantic Stage 2 for its postponed world premiere May 16–June 22. Njikam will star as Freeky Dee, who is there to lead audiences towards freedom with a mix of poetry, ministry, and magic. Njikam will be joined by DJ Monday Blue, with Dennis A. Allen II directing.

The world premiere of Abby Rosebrock's Lowcountry, following an under-employed actor who returns to her rural hometown and finds herself romantically linked to a high school teacher with a record, will play the Gross June 4-July 13. Jo Bonney is directing.

"Atlantic would like to thank our colleagues at IATSE for working with us to reach an agreement that is equitable for all parties, especially as the landscape of Off-Broadway theatre and not-for-profits continues to become more uncertain," says Atlantic Artistic Director Neil Pepe in a statement. "We could not be happier to get back to producing plays and reinvigorating our season."

“I congratulate Atlantic Theater Company production workers on ratifying their first agreement," adds IATSE International President Matthew D. Loeb. "We will continue building on our productive partnership and look forward to a successful first season with a union contract covering the Atlantic’s skilled production workers.”

Tickets for I'm Assuming You Know David Greenspan and Grief Camp go on sale March 26 at noon ET. Tickets for A Freeky Introduction and Lowcountry will go on sale April 8. Visit AtlanticTheater.org.
