Irish Repertory Theatre kicks off The Letters Series with Dear Liar April 25. Starring Tony nominee Melissa Errico and David Staller, the Off-Broadway run will play through April 30 on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage.

Charlotte Moore (A Child’s Christmas in Wales) directs Jerome Kilty's work, which adapts the letters exchanged by George Bernard Shaw and celebrated actress Mrs. Patrick Campbell. The play delves into the passion they shared and the tensions between them.

Moore directed Dear Liar's last production at Irish Repertory Theatre in 1999.

Inspired by correspondence, The Letters Series explores the thrill of watching relationships develop and unfold at time when communication has become instant.

Following Dear Liar will be two-hander drama Love Letters starring Tony winners Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti May 30-June 4.
