Premiering Off-Broadway, The Gospel According to Heather opens at Theatre 555 June 22. Tony nominee Paul Gordon's new musical began previews June 14 for a limited run through July 9.
Heather Krebs wants a boyfriend, but how can she navigate her way through high school if she might be the new Messiah? Set in a small town in Ohio town, The Gospel According to Heather grapples with politics, religion, and teenage romance in the pop musical which features a book, music, and lyrics by Gordon (Jane Eyre).
Director-choreographer Rachel Klein helms the creative team which includes music director Jonathan Bauerfeld, music supervisor Jodie Moore, set designers Christopher and Justin Swader, lighting designer Jamie Roderick, costume designer Saawan Tiwari, sound designer Sean Hagerty, prop designer Brendan McCann, and fight director Timothy Ellis Riley. Casting is by Stephanie Klapper Casting.
