Second Stage Theater will present world premieres from playwrights Steph Del Rosso and Johnny G. Lloyd in its Off-Broadway Uptown Series, playing the McGinn/Cazale Theater on 76th Street.

First up is 53% Of, by Rosso and directed by Tiffany Nichole Greene. The work, press notes explain, explores "who calls themselves good and who pleads ignorance" and centers on a group of women and their husbands in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, preparing a hero's welcome for an upcoming presidential visit and a group of young white women in Brooklyn planning a revolution. The play will begin its run June 14 and open June 28. The production is currently scheduled to run through July 10.

Following that is Lloyd's Patience, about a gay Black professional solitaire player looking ahead to his final, career-defining match before retirement. Directed by Zhailon Levingston, the work begins performances August 2, opens August 16, and is scheduled to continue through August 28.

Second Stage is currently represented on Broadway at the Hayes with its revival of Richard Greenberg's Take Me Out. The company is set to bring Stephen Adly Guirgis' Between Riverside and Crazy to the Hayes this fall.
