International News Pretty Woman: The Musical to Launch U.K. and Ireland Tour

The production will kick off its travels at Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre.

Vivian and Edward are packing their bags— Pretty Woman: The Musical will embark on a U.K. and Ireland tour beginning with an engagement at Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre October 17-28. The musical, helmed by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, continues to play the West End's Savoy Theatre, with tickets currently available through June 11. 

The romantic comedy film was adapted to the stage with a book by Garry Marshall and the film’s screenwriter J.F. Lawton. It also features original music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, and Roy Orbison and Bill Dee’s hit song "Oh, Pretty Woman" which inspired the film.

Stops will planned for Bristol Hippodrome (October 31-November 11), Glasgow's Theatre Royal (November 14-25), Woking's New Victoria Theatre (November 27-December 2), Oxford's New theatre (December 4-9), and Stockton Globe Theatre (December 14-31). 

The tour will continue in 2024 at Liverpool Empire (January 23-February 3), Hull New Theatre (February 5-10), New Wimbledon Theatre (February 12-17), York's Grand Opera House (February 19-24), Manchester Opera House (March 5-16), Milton Keynes Theatre (March 19-30), Edinburgh Playhouse (April 2-13), Plymouth's Theatre Royal (April 15-20), Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre (April 29-May 4), Bromley's Churchill Theatre (May 6-11), Leeds Grand Theatre (May 14-25), Sunderland Empire (May 28-June 8), Belfast's Grand Opera House (June 10-15), Cork Opera House (June 24-29), Dublin's Bord Gáis Energy Theatre (July 2-13), Stoke Regent Theatre (July 15-20), Southampton's Mayflower (July 22-27), Southend's Cliff Pavilion (August 6-17), Dartford's Orchard Theatre (August 26-31), Nottingham's Theatre Royal (September 2-7), Northampton's Derngate Theatre (September 9-14), and Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre (September 23-28). Further venues and casting will be announced at a later date.

The production features scenic design by David Rockwell, costumes by Tom Rogers from the original Broadway designs by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Philip S. Rosenberg, sound design by John Shivers, hair design by Josh Marquette, and music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Will Van Dyke. 101 Productions, Ltd are the Global General Management Consultant.

Pretty Woman: The Musical originally made its world premiere in Chicago in 2018, and subsequently transferred to Broadway. It has since had a German production in Hamburg, a United States tour, and its current West End production..
