"We had an incredible sell-out season earlier this year, and learned a huge amount about the show we’re creating and indeed its audience," said artistic director Paul Taylor-Mills in an earlier statement. "We’re committed to creating the best possible version of the show and are thrilled to have an opportunity to present it again this autumn.”
With a book and lyrics penned by Bill Augustin, the show features music by Andrew Abrams, and direction by Tania Azevedo. Jamie Babbit conceived and directed the original film, which featured a screenplay by Brian Wayne Peterson.
The musical first ran at The Turbine February 18–May 8. It was originally presented as part of MTFestUK at The Other Palace in 2019.
But I'm a Cheerleader is presented by Taylor-Mills and Bill Kenwright in association with Adam Bialow, and by special arrangement with Lionsgate.
