Additional casting has been announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company's 2025 production of Hamlet, which will be presented February 8–March 29 with an official opening February 18.
As previously reported, Rupert Goold will direct a cast led by Luke Thallon, who will make his RSC debut in the title role. Thallon won the Clarence Derwent Award for his performance in Leopoldstadt in the West End, and an Evening Standard Award nomination for his work in Albion at the Almeida.
Newly announced for the limited engagement of Shakespeare's family saga are Olivier winner Nancy Carroll (After the Dance, Murder in Provence) as Gertrude, Jared Harris (Chernobyl, Mad Men) as Claudius, Anton Lesser (Endeavor, Game of Thrones) as Ghost/First Player, Olivier winner Elliot Levey (Cabaret, Cold War) as Polonius, Kel Matsena as Horatio, Lewis Shepherd as Laertes, and Nia Towle as Ophelia.
The upcoming production will also have set design by Es Devlin, costume design by Evie Gurney, lighting design by Jack Knowles, music and sound design by Adam Cork, movement by Hannes Langolf, video design by Akhila Krishnan, and casting by Charlotte Sutton.
