Screen stars Lily Collins and Álvaro Morte make their West End debuts in Bess Wohl's Barcelona beginning October 21. Directed by Lynette Linton, the seductive thriller plays the Duke of York's Theatre for a strictly limited 12-week run, through January 11, 2025.
Collins (Emily in Paris, Mank, To The Bone) and Álvaro Morte (Money Heist, Wheel of Time, Immaculate) star in the U.K. premiere of the two-hander, which has been in development since 2013. Centering on an American tourist and a handsome Spaniard, the unlikely pair suddenly find themselves at the center of a personal and political catastrophe when their carefree one-night stand doesn't go to plan.
Linton guides a creative team featuring set and costume design by Frankie Bradshaw; lighting by Jai Morjaria; composition and sound design by Duramaney Kamara and Xana; video design by Gino Ricardo Green; wig, hair, and makeup design by Cynthia De La Rosa; casting by Heather Basten and Jim Carnahan; movement and intimacy direction by Shelley Maxwell; vocal coaching by Hazel Holder; and dramatherapy by Wabriya King.
Barcelona is produced by ATG Productions, Bad Robot Live and Gavin Kalin Productions.
