Singer Seth Sikes celebrates what would have been the 100th birthday of late entertainment icon Judy Garland June 10 at Feinstein's/54 Below.
The vocalist, who was the associate director for Broadway's The Band’s Visit and The Nance, offers Seth Sikes & Friends: Judy Garland’s 100 Birthday at 7 PM at the Manhattan venue. Sikes is joined on stage by Tony nominee Charles Busch (Die, Mommie, Die), Jeanna De Waal (Diana the Musical), Nia Drummond (HBO’s TheTimeTraveler’sWife), Tony nominee Max von Essen (An American in Paris), and Nicolas King.
Attendees can expect to hear a host of tunes associated with The Wizard of Oz star, both solos and duets.
Sikes will also celebrate Garland July 9 at The Community House in Cherry Grove, Fire Island.
Says Sikes, “It’s overwhelming to think that we are about to celebrate 100 years of Judy Garland. She sang her way into our hearts for four amazing decades, and she offered the world so many epic performances—on stage, screen, and TV. I feel so lucky to have the chance to sing Judy’s music during her centennial year. Keeping her music alive is how I honor her memory. She'll never be forgotten. God Bless Judy Garland!”
The two-time Tony recipient will reprise some of his most loved numbers from The Boy From Oz, The Greatest Showman, and more in From New York, With Love.
