Kevin Zak's new comedy Ginger Twinsies (A Parent Trap Parody of Lohan Proportions) has set a New York City reading for September 13, with Zak also directing.
The cast will feature Ana Gasteyer (Saturday Night Live), Josh Lamon (Death Becomes Her), Aneesa Folds (Freestyle Love Supreme), Jeanna De Waal (Sweeney Todd), Matt Wilkas (So Help Me Todd), Jimmy Ray Bennett (AJ and The Queen), Mike Millan (Escape To Margaritaville), Mitch Wood (Ginny and Georgia), and Hannah Solow (Oh, Mary!).
According to press notes, the comedy is a "loving, outlandish, and inappropriate" send-up of the 1998 Nancy Meyers film starring Lindsay Lohan as long-lost identical twins.
The creative team includes sound designer Joshua Reid and stage manager Madison Decoske. Andy Jones of Baseline Theatrical is general managing.
Ginger Twinsies is produced by Preston Whiteway.
