Composer Claude-Michel Schönberg will take the London stage in December for a one-night only event to discuss his path to composing. Writer and broadcaster Edward Seckerson will lead a discussion, which will also feature performances by Broadway and West End stars John Owen-Jones (Les Misérables) and Eva Noblezada (Miss Saigon).

Schönberg and lyricist Alain Boublil are the songwriting duo responsible for Les Misérables and Miss Saigon. The pair first joined forces in 1973 to write La Revolution Française—Boublil’s first musical—and continued to collaborate for such classics as The Pirate Queen and Martin Guerre.

At the event, Schönberg will discuss the genesis of his path toward Les Misérables and the inspiration behind creating the melodies to some of the most beloved work to play the international stage.

Owen-Jones is known for his performances as the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera in the West End and as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables in the West End and Broadway.

Noblezada starred as Kim in the West End production of Miss Saigon; she reprised the role on Broadway in 2017 and earned a Tony Award nomination for her performance. Her additional credits include Les Misérables in the West End.
