The British equivalent of the Academy Awards honored a bevy of Broadway talent.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards were held February 19, and a bevy of theatrical talent were named winners. The ceremony, which is the British equivalent of the Academy Awards, was hosted by Broadway favorite and former Tony host Ariana DeBose, who received a BAFTA last year for her performance in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story.

The Leading Performance categories went to Broadway alums, with Cate Blanchett (The Present) taking home top honors for her performance in Tár and Austin Butler (The Iceman Cometh) winning for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis

Kerry Condon (The Cripple of Inishmaan) and Barry Keoghan received the Supporting statuettes for their performances in Martin McDonagh's The Banshees of Inisherin, which also received Outstanding British Film and Best Original Screenplay. 

Best Film went to the German war epic All Quiet on the Western Front, which netted seven total awards, making it the big winner of the evening. In the creative categories, Elvis won for Best Casting, Costume Design, and Makeup and Hair, with Tony winner Catherine Martin receiving the costuming award.
