Try It Like This will be held October 17 at 54 Below in support of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation

More artists have joined the line-up for Try It Like This: Directors and Choreographers Take the Stage. Baayork Lee (A Chorus Line) will host the one-night-only benefit for the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, to be held at 7:30 PM October 17 at 54 Below.

Joining the roster of Broadway favorites slated to make appearances are Michael Arden (Once on this Island), Stephen Brackett (A Strange Loop), Jonathan Cable (Jersey Boys), Trip Cullman (The Rose Tattoo), Dormeshia (After Midnight), Aaron De Jesus (Jersey Boys), Shadia Fairuz (On Your Feet! National Tour), Amber Gray (Hadestown), Angelique Ilo (The Wedding Singer), Michael R. Jackson (A Strange Loop), Naomi Kakuk (The Producers), Rory Kaplan (Jersey Boys), Andy Karl (Into the Woods), Orfeh (Pretty Woman), CJ Pawlikowski (Jersey Boys), and Helen White (The First Noel).

Keenan Tyler Oliphant will direct the evening, conceived by Jerry Mitchell, with previously announced appearances from Steve H. Broadnax III (Thoughts of a Colored Man), Mark Brokaw (How I Learned to Drive), Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown), JoAnn M. Hunter (Disaster!), Anne Kauffman (Marvin’s Room), Moisés Kaufman (The Laramie Project), Lorin Latarro (Into the Woods), Pam MacKinnon (The Parisian Woman), Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots), Leigh Silverman (Soft Power), Susan Stroman (The Producers), Maria Torres (Swing!), Sergio Trujillo (Ain’t Too Proud), and Michael Wilson (The Trip to Bountiful).

Serving on the creative team for Try It Like This are writer Kate Leonard, music director Rick Hip-Flores, producing associate Sarah Bierstock, and stage manager James Fitzsimmons. Foresight Events will serve as event manager.

Rachel Chavkin, Matt Ross, and Katie Spelman executive produce the event, presented by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation which will receive the proceeds. The three executive producers also serve on the benefit's Host Committee, which also includes Christopher Ashley, Pun Bandhu, Camille A. Brown, Sheldon Epps, Robyn Goodman, Pam MacKinnon, Lonny Price, Ruben Santiago Hudson, Susan Stroman, Seema Sueko, Maria Torres, Beth Williams, and Michael Wilson.
