Producers Marc Klaw and Abe Erlanger created the Klaw Theatre in 1921. George Abbott’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Hell-Bent fer Heaven premiered here in 1923. The Klaw Theatre was demolished, as the Avon, in 1954.
