THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Executive Assistant (EA) you’ll participate in the myriad exciting projects that the team is currently producing and developing. Your primary role will be to provide administrative support to the company’s two principals to ensure that projects are advancing and that resources are deployed strategically. Each day will be different from the day before, the work will be fast-paced and, at times, high-pressure. But you’ll be supported and mentored by the partners who each have a history of investing in the development and advancement of their proteges. You’ll be tasked with critical responsibilities for the company including, among other things:
· project managing the company’s activities to ensure we’re always focused on the highest-priority tasks and highest-impact efforts;
· managing calendars and communication on behalf of, and in coordination with, the principals;
· maintaining internal project tracking systems;
· coordinating the work of the company’s interns;
· assisting with investor relations;
· coordinating readings and creative development sessions;
· researching subject matter, potential creative and producing partners, and distribution channels for prospective projects;
· administering the company’s quarterly Opening Doors Days mentorship program;
· processing house seat requests;
· posting to the company’s social media profiles;
· keeping the company’s file server organized and up-to-date.
Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to attend meetings (where appropriate) related to the company’s productions and to attend readings and workshops on the company’s behalf.
This is a full-time position and will sometimes include work outside of normal office hours.
ABOUT YOU
You’re passionate about stage-related storytelling and can enthusiastically quote lyrics from your favorite musicals. You have a familiarity with the organizations that support Broadway productions because you’ve been reading the Broadway Briefing for years. Perhaps you’ve produced events and have some understanding of industry labor agreements. You’re able to self-direct and work entrepreneurially but humble enough to know when to ask for guidance. Your time and project management skills are on point.
You’re well-spoken and highly communicative. You understand what it means to offer proactive, thoughtful, high-level service. You care a lot about the small details because you know that what separates good from great is attention to detail. You expect a lot from yourself because you’re always on the quest to get 1% better every day. You’re kind, generous of spirit, and lead with empathy. You approach every interaction with respect, and you expect respect in return.
