DESCRIPTION
321 Theatrical Management, a commercial Broadway and Touring Theatrical General Management company located in
New York City, is seeking a self-motivated, personable and driven individual for the position of Management Assistant.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, be proactive and take initiative,
demonstrate the ability to multitask and welcome the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The candidate must be able to communicate well, have good problem-solving skills, be resourceful, adaptable and have
the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The successful candidate will also exhibit good judgment, have a strong attention
to detail, and be a quick-thinker. The Management Assistant’s main duties relate to supporting the day to day work of the
General Managers. Due to the fast-paced environment, the position may change over time and with client needs. This
position will be full-time, with a mutual evaluation after 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
• Calendar Management: Schedule meetings, and confirm meeting locations and/or conference call information.
• Contract Administration: Negotiate and draft deal memos, contracts and agreements, and distribute as needed.
• Budgeting: Assist with development production financial reports, including creating, managing, and maintaining
budgets and pro formas.
• Union Correspondence/Reporting: Prepare and remit union-required reports for productions in development.
• Travel and Hospitality: Coordinate company travel and housing prior to engagement of the Company Management
team.
• Support the General Management team with day-to-day departmental needs and provide crossover company
management support as assigned.
• Work with production teams to ensure deadlines are met and appropriate information is communicated.
• Collaborate with General Managers on projects in various stages of development, including assisting organizing
and executing work sessions and writers weeks.
• Administrative Support: Fulfill other administrative tasks as necessary, including the creation of contact sheets,
backstage passes, creative calendars, show gifts, and manage special projects as requested.
Qualifications:
• 1 – 3 years’ experience working in an office setting. Previous general management and/or company management
experience (inclusive of internship experience) preferred.
• Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, and have an intermediate skill-level working with Excel, Word and
Outlook. Quickbooks experience preferred, but not required.
• Astute problem-solving skills and ability to self-identify issues as they arise.
• Experience managing people and the ability to work through people management to obtain desired outcomes
using appropriate communication.
• Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information.
• Understand basic accounting terms and practices. Business and finance knowledge and proficiency with
spreadsheets using complex formulas a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask a high volume of tasks.
• An interest in commercial theater, general management and arts administration.
• High School Diploma.
This is an in-office, full-time position Monday – Friday from 10am – 6pm working in our office in midtown Manhattan.
Occasional time-sensitive communication may be required outside of normal business hours. Start date would be on or
around Monday, February 3, 2025. Starting salary range is $45K - $62.5K annually and commensurate with experience.
Benefits package includes health insurance (2 month waiting period), PTO (6 month waiting period) and 401(k) with
