Ahead of its October 22 premiere on WABC, get a special sneak preview of Broadway Backstage: Fall Preview above. The special spotlighting the fall season on the Main Stem will air at 5:30 PM, with a rebroadcast planned for October 29 at 5:30 AM. The program will also be available to stream at ABC7NY.com.
Along with interviews covering current and upcoming shows Spamalot, The Shark Is Broken, I Need That, Harmony, Gutenberg! The Musical!, and Melissa Etheridge: My Window, the broadcast will feature a visit to the Playbill publishing plant, giving viewers an inside look at how Broadway's programs get made.
The broadcast will be hosted by Eyewitness News anchor Michelle Charlesworth and Spamalot star Michael Urie, and will feature appearances from Alex Brightman, Ian Shaw, Danny DeVito, Barry Manilow, Bruce Sussman, Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, and Melissa Etheridge.
