Washington, D.C.'s Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) has announced full casting and a creative team for its upcoming production of William Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors. Performances will run September 10-October 6 at the company's Klein Theatre. STC Artistic Director Simon Godwin will direct.

Alex Brightman and David Fynn, who played Dewey in School of Rock in the Broadway and West End productions, respectively, will play the wayward twins Dromio, as previously reported.

Newly announced cast members include Ralph Adriel Johnson and Christian Thompson as Antipholus and Antipholus; with Timothy D. Stickney, Amanda Naughton, Shayvawn Webster, Cloteal L. Horne, Eric Hissom, Jacob Brandt, Ro Boddie, Camilo Linares, Kimberly Dodson, Paige Rammelkamp, and Pearl Rhein. Rounding out the company are understudies Cheryl Aiello, Katrina Clark, Alexandria Grigsby, and Ari Post.

“After the tragic darkness of Macbeth with Ralph Fiennes, I’m delighted to be embracing one of Shakespeare’s sunniest comedies,” Godwin said in a statement. “Comedy of Errors playfully asks, are we all that we seem? Or something more? Welcoming this wonderful cast to Washington, led by the incomparable Alex Brightman and David Fynn, fills with me joy.”

The creative team includes choreographer Nancy Renee Braun, scenic designer Ceci Calf, costume designer Alejo Vietti, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, sound designer Christopher Shutt, wig designer Charles G. LaPointe, composer Michael Bruce, fight choreographer Robb Hunter, voice and text coach Lisa Beley, dramaturg Drew Lichtenberg, resident casting director Danica Rodriguez, production stage manager Laura Smith, and assistant stage managers Becky Reed and Stephen Bubniak.

The STC season also includes Babbitt led by two-time Tony winner Matthew Broderick, the regional debut of Tom Stoppard's Leopoldstadt, John Kani's Kunene and the King, and more.
