News Vanessa Redgrave and Jimmy Owens Set for "Last Train to Paris" Reading Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announced Feb. 17 that Tony and Academy Award winner Vanessa Redgrave (Driving Miss Daisy, The Year of Magical Thinking) will perform a one-night-only staged reading of Michele Zackheim's novel "Last Train to Paris" March 30. She'll be accompanied by legendary jazz musician Jimmy Owens.

Redgrave, who is a friend of Zackheim, will be reading selected passages from the book adapted for the stage. Owens, who was named Jazzmaster 2012, will be performing his own musical compositions on the flugelhorn and trumpet, and will be accompanied by Kenny Davis on bass. The reading, at Cherry Lane Theatre, will be followed by a reception at AOC restaurant, where Zackheim will sign copies of her novel.

Zackheim is an award-winning visual artist and writer whose earlier published works include "Violette's Embrace," "Einstein's Daughter: The Search for Lieserl" and "Broken Colors."
