The Tony nominated revival of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, starring Oscar winner Jessica Chastain, completes its run June 10. The production opened on Broadway March 9 at the Hudson Theatre. The revival was previously scheduled to complete its run June 4 prior to a week-long extension.
Chastain stars as Nora Helmer in the Jamie Lloyd-directed production of the play—about a housewife who makes the earth-shattering (in the 19th century, at least) decision to leave her husband and family behind. The current production features a script newly adapted by Amy Herzog.
Chastain is joined by Tony and Emmy nominee Arian Moayed (Succession on HBO, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo) as Torvald Helmer, Jesmille Darbouze (Betrayal) as Kristine Linde, Tasha Lawrence (Good People) as Anne-Marie, Michael Patrick Thornton (Macbeth) as Dr. Rank, and Grammy winner Okieriete Onaodowan (Hamillton) as Nils Krogstad. Understudies are Franklin Bongjio, Carey Rebecca Brown, Melisa Soledad Pereyra, and José Joaquín Pérez.

This revival earned six 2023 Tony nominations, including Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play for Chastain, Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for Moayed, Best Lighting Design of a Play for Jon Clark, Best Sound Design of a Play for Ben & Max Ringham, Best Direction of a Play for Jamie Lloyd, and Best Revival of a Play for the production and Herzog. Winners will be named June 11.
The creative team for this production included scenic designer and costume co-designer Soutra Gilmour, costume co-designer Enver Chakartash, lighting designer Jon Clark, sound designers Ben and Max Ringham, composers Ryuichi Sakamoto and Alva Noto, dance choreographer Jennifer Rias, casting directors Jim Carnahan Casting and Alexandre Bleau, production stage manager Frank Lombardi, and stage manager Brandon Allmon-Jackson.
