Tony winner Cady Huffman (The Producers) directs the New York City debut of EMPIRE: The Musical, which is playing a 12-week limited engagement at Off-Broadway's New World Stages beginning July 1.
With a book, music, and lyrics by Caroline Sherman and Robert Hull, the new musical follows the creation and impact of the Empire State Building through the lens of three generations of dreamers and doers spanning New York City in the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, and the Bicentennial Year of 1976.
