International News New Queens Crowned for SIX's U.K. and Ireland Tour

The current company will play their final performance April 23.

Taking to the throne, new queens have been announced for the U.K. tour of Toby Marlow and Lucy MossSIX. The tour's next stop will be at Dublin, Ireland's Bord Gáis Energy Theatre April 4-8 .

Starring as the tour's leading ladies will be Nicole Louise Lewis as Catherine of Aragon, Laura Dawn Pyatt as Anne Boleyn, Erin Caldwell as Jane Seymour, Kenedy Small as Anna of Cleves, Lou Henry as Katherine Howard, and Aoife Haakenson as Catherine Parr. Serving as alternates will be Izi Maxwell, Tamara Morgan, and Ellie Jane Grant, with Shakira Simpson as super swing and dance captain. The current company will play their final performance April 23 with the new cast stepping into their roles April 25. 

Remixing history, SIX passes the mic to the six women who all married the same man: King Henry VIII of England. In the 70-minute show, they share their stories in a competitive concert of pop-inspired numbers.

Following Dublin, the tour will play Belfast, High Wycombe, Tunbridge Wells, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Norwich, Hull, Oxford, Peterborough, Leicester, Birmingham, York, Newcastle, Blackpool, Manchester, Southampton, Leeds, Cardiff, Bath, Glasgow, Chester, Portsmouth, Skegness, Torquay, Nottingham, Northampton, Brighton, and Aylesbury with further dates to be announced.

Marlow and Moss brought the musical to the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. From there, it has gone on to have current productions running on Broadway, in the West End, and two North American tours in addition to the U.K. and Ireland tour. Further productions will open this year in South Korea, Canada, and Holland.

Marlow and Moss won the 2022 Tony Award for Best Original Score, with Marlow making history as the first out nonbinary composer-lyricist to win a Tony Award. Six is co-directed by Moss and Jamie Armitage. The production features choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by 2022 Tony winner Gabrielle Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling, and sound design by Paul Gatehouse.The score features orchestrations by Tom Curran with music supervision and vocal arrangements by Joe Beighton. Caitlin Morgan serves as musical director. Casting is by Pearson Casting.
