At Broadway's Studio 54, new play Pictures from Home by Sharr White (The Snow Geese, The Other Place) opens its strictly limited engagement February 9. Previews began January 13 for White's adaptation of Larry Sultan's photo memoir of the same name.

Tony winners Nathan Lane (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Producers) and Danny Burstein (Moulin Rouge!, Fiddler on the Roof) star alongside Tony nominee Zoë Wanamaker (Awake and Sing!) in the cast. Pictures from Home follows Larry, played by Burstein, and his parents Irving and Jean who he photographs as they make their journey from Brooklyn to the San Fernando Valley.

Tony-winning director Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, To Kill a Mockingbird) helms the production, which features set design by Michael Yeargan, costume design by Jennifer Moeller, lighting design by Jennifer Tipton, sound design by Scott Lehrer and Peter John Still, and projection design by Ben Pearcy at 59 Productions.

Pictures from Home also serves as a reunion: Sher and Burstein last worked together on the 2015 revival of Fiddler on the Roof, while Sher and Wanamaker collaborate for the first time since Awake and Sing!

The work was previously developed by New York Stage and Film in 2019 with director Danielle Tool, and received a developmental reading at Houston's Alley Theatre in 2020 directed by Rob Melrose.
