Off-Broadway News Linda Lavin Will Return to the Stage in Off-Broadway World Premiere of You Will Get Sick

Noah Diaz's new play is directed by Tony nominee Sam Pinkleton.

Tony winner Linda Lavin will star in the world premiere of Noah Diaz's You Will Get Sick, directed by Tony nominee Sam Pinkleton. The new play begins Off-Broadway previews October 14 ahead of its November 6 opening at Roundabout Theatres's Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. The limited engagement is set to run through December 11.

You Will Get Sick follows a young man who receives a life-changing diagnosis. He hires an older woman to tell the news to his love ones, a decision that reshapes both of their lives.

Alongside Lavin, the cast includes Marinda Anderson (sandblasted), Daniel K. Isaac (Billions), Nate Miller (Junk), and Dario Ladani Sanchez (Selling Kabul). The show marks the reunion between Lavin and Pinkleton, having last worked together on the 2012 Broadway premiere of The Lyons

Lavin's additional stage credits include The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, The Last of the Red Hot Lovers, The Diary of Anne Frank, and Broadway Bound—which earned the performer a Tony nod for Best Actress in a Play.

The creative team includes set design by dots, costumes by Alicia Austin, lighting by Cha See, sound design Lee Kinney, and illusions and Skylar Fox.

Roundabout Theatre's 2022-2023 season also includes 1776, a benefit reading of The Pirates of Penzance, The Bandaged Place, The Wanderers, Primary Trust, and a North American tour of A Soldiers's Play.
