Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Al Hirschfeld Foundation are auctioning 21 limited-edition prints of works by the late, legendary caricaturist Al Hirschfeld. The sale of the prints signed by Broadway and silver screen stars, which runs through November 20, will benefit the two organizations.

This year's collectible prints have been signed by Eileen Atkins, Betty Buckley, Cher, Michael Crawford, Clive Davis, Judi Dench, Michael Feinstein, Ellen Greene, Joel Grey, Harry Groener, Mark Hamill, Billy Joel, Nathan Lane, Jose Llana, Reba McEntire, Donna McKechnie, Ian McKellen, Ian McShane, Steve Martin, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, Faith Prince, Chita Rivera, Lea Salonga, Martin Short, Bruce Springsteen, and Meryl Streep.

Among the prints up for sale are a sketch of Streep in costume for the 1991 film Defending Your Life; a privately commissioned and never-before-seen work of Billy Joel, George Gershwin, and Ira Gershwin; a color portrait of Clive Davis; and a never-before-seen portrait of Michael Crawford in costume as The Phantom.

“This unique collaboration with the Al Hirschfeld Foundation in partnership with Heritage Auctions will help ensure much-needed health care and medication, nutritious meals, counseling, and emergency assistance for those across the country affected by HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, and other life-threatening illnesses,” said Broadway Cares Executive Director Tom Viola.

The organizations have partnered with Heritage Auctions.
