Keen Company's world premiere comedy This Space Between Us, by Peter Gil-Sheridan (The Rafa Play), ends its Off-Broadway run at Theatre Row April 2. Performances began February 22 prior to an official opening March 9.
The production is directed by Keen Artistic DIrector Jonathan Silverstein.
The cast includes Glynis Bell (The Ferryman), Alex Chester (Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!), Joyce Cohen (Women Without Men), Ryan Garbayo (The Government Inspector), Tommy Heleringer (Minor Character: Six Translations of Uncle Vanya at the Same Time), and Anthony Ruiz (Implications of Cohabitation).
This Space Between Us is a new comedy about trying to change the world while admitting home could use a little change, too. Nobody understands why Jamie wants to leave his cushy law office to work for a non-profit. His boyfriend is concerned, his best friend is confused, and his conservative Cuban-American family are sure they know what’s best.
The production also has scenic design by Steven Kemp, costumes by Rodrigo Muñoz, lighting by Daisy Long, sound by Luqman Brown, props by Addison Heeren, and casting by Bass/Valle Casting. Dramaturgy is by Jeremy Stoller, and Avery Trunko is the production stage manager.
