Rhinebeck Writers Retreat's 2023 gala, Songs of Our Summer From Rhinebeck to Chelsea, will be held November 27 at Chelsea Table and Stage. The evening will feature a host of Broadway notables performing selections from eight musicals developed at this year's retreat. Adam Chanler-Berat (Peter and the Starcatcher) and Beth Malone (Fun Home) will host.
On hand for performances will be Judy Kuhn (Fun Home), Julia Lester (Into the Woods), Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages), George Abud (The Band's Visit), Diane Phelan (Into the Woods), Daniel Quadrino (Newsies), Jessica Vosk (Wicked), Kyra Kennedy (Waitress), Salena Qureshi (Madame Secretary), and Naomi Serrano (Evita).
Among the writers having material performed will be the Indigo Girls' Emily Saliers, Adam Gwon, Robi Hager, Julian Hornik, Arpita Mukherjee, and Michael Mitnick.
The evening will also include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction. Proceeds from the event will support the company's 2024 Hudson Valley writer residencies.
