Off-Broadway's Classic Stage Company will host a public reading of Adam Chanler-Berat and Grace McLean's new musical After Peter December 9, part of the company's Old Friends, New Classics series.

The cast will include Kyle Beltran (A Case for the Existence of God) and Tony winner Celia Keenan-Bolger (To Kill a Mockingbird).

The story follows an artist left reeling after the death of her collaborator, plagued by the daunting task of finishing the piece they were working on. Chanler-Berat and McLean are both arguably best known as performers, the former in Next to NormalPeter and the Starcatcher, and Amélie; and the latter in Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812Bad Cinderella, and Suffs.

Tickets are available to the public at ClassicStage.org.
