The world premiere of Noir by Tony winner Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening, American Psycho) and Tony nominee Kyle Jarrow (The SpongeBob Musical) concludes its run at Houston, Texas' Alley Theatre July 3. The new musical began performances June 2, and officially opened June 9.
Broadway veterans star in the production, including Christy Altomare (Anastasia, Mamma Mia!) as Scarlet, Adam Kantor (The Band's Visit, Fiddler on the Roof) as The Neighbor, Morgan Marcell (Hamilton, Moulin Rouge! The Musical!) as The Wife, David Guzman (Hamilton) as The Husband, Clifton Samuels (Follies) as The Boss, and Voltaire Wade-Greene (Hamilton) as The Goon. They are joined by Sinclair Daniel as The Kid.
Following a heartbroken man-turned-recluse, who finds comfort in his radio, the musical brings the noir genre to the stage with the arrival of the man's new neighbors, a couple who move into the apartment next door. The lives of the three become dangerously entangled as his eavesdropping turns from entertainment to obsession.
