The evening benefiting the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation will be directed by Jerry Mitchell.

Additional performers have been announced for the Try it Like This: Directors and Choreographers Take the Stage fundraiser. The evening benefiting the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation will be held October 16 at 54 Below. 

Bonnie Milligan will host the event, which will include performances and appearances by Saheem Ali (Fat Ham), Will Nunziata, John Rando (Back to the Future), Bartlett Sher (Camelot), Leigh SilvermanMark Brokaw (How I Learned to Drive), Jeff Calhoun (Newsies), Sammi Cannold (How to Dance in Ohio), JoAnn M. Hunter (Bad Cinderella), James Lapine (Into the Woods), Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots), and SDC Foundation president Seema Sueko. 

Jerry Mitchell is directing, and Rick Hip-Flores will provide musical direction. Scriptwriting is by Sarah Saltzberg (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) Steve Rosen (The Griswolds' Broadway Vacation), and David Rossmer (The Griswolds' Broadway Vacation). Foresight Events will provide event management, with stage management by James Fitzsimmons.

Proceeds will benefit the not-for-profit's various programs, including the Lloyd Richards New Futures Residency for mid-career BIPOC artists, The Barbara Whitman Award, the Gordon Davidson Award, an Emergency Assistance Fund, public programming including panel conversations and podcasts featuring industry leaders, and professional development programs for emerging and early career directors.
