The jukebox musical featuring Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman's greatest hits tells a rebellious love story.

Jim Steinman’s Bat Out of Hell – The Musical begins its West End return at the Peacock Theatre February 17. The limited engagement runs through April 1.

Featuring the music of the Steinman and Meat Loaf, the jukebox musical follows Strat, immortal leader of The Lost, and Raven, daughter of the tyrant Falco, who fall in love; it's a story about the rebelliousness that can come with youth and passion. Hits like "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)," "Bat Out of Hell," "I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)," and "Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad" are featured in the show, along with two previously unreleased songs, "What Part of My Body Hurts the Most" and "Not Allowed to Love."

Leading the production are Glenn Adamson who returns as Strat, Kellie Gnauck as Raven, and Rob Fowler as Falco. They are joined by Sharon Sexton, Jayme-Lee Zanoncelli, James Chisholm, Matteo Johnson, Katie Tonkinson, Danny Whelan, Jay Anderson, Alex Bowen, Georgia Bradshaw, Amara Campbell, Eirik Dahlen, Alexandra Doar, Luke Hall, James Lowrie, Rory Maguire, Catherine Saunders, Luke Street, Craig Watson, and Beth Woodcock.

Bat Out of Hell features a book, music and lyrics by Steinman, direction by Jay Scheib, choreography adapted by Xena Gusthart, with musical supervision and additional arrangements by Michael Reed, set and costume design by Jon Bausor, original costume designs by Meentje Nielsen, original wig designs by Linda McKnight, video design by Finn Ross, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound design by Gareth Owen, fight direction by Stuart Boother, musical direction by Iestyn Griffiths,  additional book material by Stuart Beattie, and orchestration by Steve Sidwell. Original casting is by David Grindrod and U.K. tour casting is by Anne Vosser.

The show has previously played limited runs at Manchester Opera House, London Coliseum, and London’s Dominion Theatre, and also made its New York premiere Off-Broadway at New York City Center in 2019. It is produced by David Sonenberg, Michael Cohl, and Tony Smith, with executive producers Julian Stoneman and Lisa Jackson.
