Fabulous Talent Agency Assistant needed for our prestigious New York boutique agency.
Previous industry experience absolutely 100% necessary.
Candidates must be motivated, extremely detail oriented, have excellent communication and organizational skills and should have a strong working knowledge of New York Theater and its denizens. That means you attend theatre, you love theatre and it excites you to talk about theatre! If you dont know what auditions are or understand how they work, please dont apply. This position, like any talent agency job, includes attendance at events, both performances and for the purpose of networking plus staying on top of your projects. This is a fun and challenging environment with excellent opportunities for growth. We show love and support to our team members so our ideal Assistant must be passionate, hard working, motivated, organized and driven. This incredible individual will also possess exemplary written and oral communication skills, excellent phone manner, and an upbeat ''go getter'' personality. Sense of humor is mandatory! A general sense of urgency and a strong desire to follow-through and complete projects is the most important quality we look for and the Boss's favorite asset in an Assistant.
Please embody the confidence to keep the agents on schedule and calmly guide new and existing Interns when needed. Using and understanding industry lingo is always appreciated and as with any job, the skill to pivot quickly when necessary is invaluable. You must be open to taking direction and receiving guidance along with constructive feedback if you desire to grow at the company. We hire from within so existing Interns and Assistants are given priority before outside applicants are brought on.
This is a fast-paced environment, so candidates should be able to maintain a calm, professional manner while juggling multiple tasks at once.
