The Sr Director of E-commerce is responsible for developing and executing the organization's digital commerce strategy. This role combines artistic, analytic and business acumen to enhance the online presence of the organization, drive revenue through e-commerce channels, and create seamless and engaging mobile-first, online and digital interactions for patrons.

Located in downtown Tampa, the 335,000 square-foot Straz Center, one of the largest performing arts complexes in the country, offers a team-based work environment that shows our dedication to the community every day. Essential Functions:

· Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and mission.

· Identify and prioritize e-commerce opportunities that align with the unique aspects of the performing arts industry.

· Curate and manage approaches for online sales and fulfillment.

· Collaborate with artists, designers, and ticketing teams to create impactful and compelling approaches that resonate with the organization's audience.

· Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create a user-friendly, intuitive online experience.

· Analyze user behavior and feedback to improve website navigation, functionality, and overall user satisfaction.

· Participate in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of e-commerce platforms and technologies.

· Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of digital innovation.

· Identify and cultivate partnerships with relevant e-commerce platforms, influencers, and industry stakeholders to expand the organization's reach.

· Utilize data analytics tools to track and analyze e-commerce performance, customer behavior, and market trends.

· Generate insights to inform decision-making and adjust strategies accordingly.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· This position will supervise independent and outside contractors.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

· Strong understanding of e-commerce technologies, analytics, and subject matter expert in UX design principles, features and functionalities.

· Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.

· Excellent diplomatic communication and leadership abilities.

· Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal.

· Must have strong skills in planning, budget and P&L management, marketing, and vendor selection and management.

· High energy and flexible in a constantly evolving environment.

· Proven experience in building consensus.

· Passion for the performing arts and a deep appreciation for the organization's mission and values.


Education and Work Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

· Minimum 7 years of related experience, preferably within the performing arts or entertainment industry, with demonstrated, collaborative leadership skills.
