SOCIAL MEDIA ASSOCIATE


The Pekoe Group is a New York advertising agency working with the city's top Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and restaurants.

We are seeking a Full-Time Social Media Associate to join our team.


Your responsibilities will include:


Pitching social media ideas and content


Managing content development and publishing content across all social media platforms


Creation of content calendars and copy docs


Coordination and facilitation of in-theatre + on-site content captures


Coordination and capture of cast + creative team content


Reporting in client meetings


Identifying key industry trends


Copywriting for social posts across all platforms


Video editing for in-the-moment social content


Reporting on content analytics and identifying key performance indicators


Identifying key influencers, online organizations, podcasts and online publications for cross-promotional opportunities


Day-to-day reporting to the Director of Social Media



What we are looking for:


Minimum of 1 year social media, digital or communications experience


Experience with social media video editing is a must - familiarity with CapCut & Premiere


Static design abilities are preferred (Canva or Photoshop)


Demonstration of creativity and documented immersion across social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube


Understanding of the types of content and visuals that will thrive online and grab users’ attention on each platform


Experience in sourcing content and managing content development and publishing


Strong social media writing skills


Awareness of ever-changing social media trends


Ability to think both creatively and analytically, and demonstrate why the ideas are analytically sound


Ability to drive a social media strategy forward across all platforms


Discretion pertaining to identification of threats and opportunities in user-generated content


Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously - both internal and external - in a dynamic fast-paced environment


Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Strong attention to detail


Knowledge of and passion for the theatre industry
