DESCRIPTION

We are looking to fill a full time position for a Scenic/Set Carpenter. This person will work under our Shop Manager. Expected duties include building scenery, sets, and props for upcoming productions. Additionally, they will participate in changing over the sets between shows (2 times each week) during certain times of the year. Some warehousing work is needed.
Needed Skills:
- 2+ years experience in framing, construction, or finish carpentry
- 1+ years experience in welding
- Strong carpentry skills
- Ability to lift heavy set pieces
- Theater set construction is a plus
Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 9 AM to 6 PM. Up to 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Weekend availability occasionally needed for striking shows.
About Hale Theatre: We're an in-the-round performing arts theater, located in downtown Gilbert. We produce 9-12 productions a year (musicals, comedies, and dramas) and 14+ concerts. Our scene shop is conveniently located on site.
Job Type: Full-time, Hourly
Pay: $26.00 per hour

SALARY

$26.00 – $26.00 per hour
