Role
As a Guide at Othership, you’ll have the incredible responsibility of delivering transformative experiences for our Journeyers. Your role is to welcome and facilitate Journeyers through the sauna and ice baths, weaving magic and inspiring awe with uniquely curated programming such as breathwork, towel waving, essential oils, visualizations and more.
Your confidence, creativity and knowledge will create a supportive environment, encouraging vulnerability, inner exploration and fostering deep connections.
By becoming a Guide, you'll both experience personal growth and be the conduit for transformation in others every single day.

This role demands physical endurance, emotional intelligence, cellular commitment, creativity and an unwavering passion for helping others.
As a Guide you’ll be able to confidently lead any of Othership’s main offerings: Free Flows, Socials and Classes.
Free Flow & Social Guide
During our Free Flow and Social offerings, Journeyers have 75-120 minutes in the space to move through the sauna and ice bath as they wish; they are the captain of their adventure.
As a Guide, you embody the essence of Othership and serve as the main point of contact for our Journeyers. Your warmth and presence are essential in ensuring a feeling of comfort and excitement throughout their experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring Journeyers feel welcome: having a warm and welcoming demeanor, striking up conversations, answer questions, suggesting classes, being present, looking for ways to enhance the Journeyer’s experiences and providing magic moments. The Guide is a pillar of knowledge, support and warmth.
Having strong emotional awareness: actively listening to Journeyers and other Guides, understanding how to show up and respond, holding a supportive space and embracing the unique perspectives and experiences of others.
Guiding the sauna: adding water to the stove, towel waving, making essential oil infused snowballs, ensuring the temperature is perfect and leading 5-minute awe-inspiring mini-classes throughout Free Flow sessions.
Guiding the Cold Space: curating supportive and transformational ice bath experiences for Journeyers.
Being responsible and reliable: showing up on time, prepared and ready to hold space for others. Night and weekend availability is required.
Maintaining an immaculate vibe within all spaces: ensuring the music and lighting suits the vibe, tidying up the sauna, picking up wet towels, clearing tea cups, squeegeeing excess water on the floor and ensuring a pristine environment.
Class Guide
Guided Classes are 75-minute fully immersive and curated experiences where the Guide uses all of the elements to activate the senses and tap into emotions. The result: peak experiences that inspire awe and belonging. The Othership Guide is the modern-day alchemist and a vessel for transformation.
As a class Guide you will be responsible for:
Learning class scripts: 2-3 classes from the Othership class handbook
Inspiring awe in Journeyers
The capacity to hold space and perform for 72 people
Programming and facilitation techniques: towel waving, breathwork, sound healing instruments, visualizations, towel waving, essential oils
Creating a tight container that builds belonging and leads to deep sharing
Addressing various questions, concerns, and comments from Journeyers
Holding a deep understanding of the science behind our modalities and their benefits
Using specialized equipment: sauna lighting, microphone and music controls
Cellular Commitment
This work isn’t easy. It’s deeply rewarding – but easy... it is not. This requires commitment right down to the cellular level. The intensity of the ice bath. The hammering heat of the sauna. The desire to provide a 10-star experience for every Journeyer. It all requires cellular commitment. So, we don’t shy away from the hard work, but maintain a spirit of generosity, patience and support knowing everyone will move at their own pace.
Having cellular commitment means:
Strong commitment to personal growth and continuous self-improvement
Regularly posting on social media platforms to engage and excite the community
Actively engaged in internal team Discord channels
Attending Guide events and additional training
Understand Othership's mission, vision, values, story, history, and brand language
Requirements & Qualifications
Exceptional customer service and hospitality skills
Passion for helping others achieve their goals, with a friendly and personable demeanor
Natural leadership qualities that inspire and motivate others
Ability to stand for up to 4 hours
Capable of lifting, carrying and moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds
Flexibility to kneel, bend, reach, climb and perform various physical tasks
Comfortable working in an environment with significant temperature variations (sauna and ice bath)
Minimum weekly work commitment of 10+ hours
Must have access to phone and email communication
