We are looking to cast an ensemble of actors to tell transformative stories and, therefore, the description of the ensemble is more important than the description of the archetypal characters. Every actor will be double cast in three or more roles (46 parts played by 14 actors). Furthermore, every actor will be appearing in several transition scenes that take place throughout the production. We are looking for actors who are excellent movers and work well with devised narrative movement pieces. We are looking for some singers, musicians, and dancers for certain scenes/roles. The play is not being staged in a pool of water – instead, there will be movement pieces set to original compositions and stage magic to create the stories. Though the characters are based on ancient myths, the play is contemporary, and the interpretation of each of the characters is likewise contemporary.

We are looking for actors who can play multiple roles. All roles are open to all actors. Performers of all races and ethnicities, all genders and gender expressions, all cultural heritages/backgrounds, all body types as well as disabled and non-disabled performers are encouraged to submit. We are seeking an inclusive, diverse cast.

Most of the characters can be interpreted as any gender and played by an actor of any gender. Characters marked with an asterisk (*) are recurring characters. The same actor will play them in all scenes. In addition to the list below, there are other narrators, humans, deities, and spirits in the play.
