Tiffany will be joined in the creative team by Steven Hoggett (movement), Christine Jones (sets), Katrina Lindsay (costumes), Neil Austin (lighting), Imogen Heap (music), Gareth Fry (sound) and Jeremy Chernick (special effects).
Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender’s Playground Entertainment and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, tickets will go on public sale in the fall, details of which are to be announced on the official website in late July.
Rowling is the author of the seven Harry Potter novels, which have sold more than 450 million copies and have been translated into 78 languages, and three companion books originally published for charity. She is also the author of "The Casual Vacancy," a novel for adults published in 2012, and, under the pseudonym of Robert Galbraith, is the author of the "Cormoran Strike" crime series. She is currently working on a screenplay for the film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," based on the characters in her Harry Potter companion book of the same name.
Thorne's stage credits include Hope and Let The Right One In both directed by John Tiffany, Bunny, Stacy, 2nd May 1997 and When You Cure Me In 2012 he won BAFTAs for best series ("The Fades") and best serial ("This Is England 88").
Tiffany's directorial credits include Once (Broadway, West End and US tour; Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical), Let the Right One In (Royal Court, West End and St Ann's Warehouse in New York), Macbeth (starring Alan Cumming for the National Theatre of Scotland at the Edinburgh International Festival and Broadway), Black Watch (National Theatre of Scotland, Barbican Centre and New York) and The Glass Menagerie (Broadway). He most recently directed The Twits (Royal Court). Hoggett has previously collaborated with Tiffany on The Twits, Let The Right One In, Black Watch and Once (Tony nomination for Best Choreography). He is shortly to be represented in London by the transfer of Whats it All About? Bacharach Reimagined from New York Theatre Workshop to the Menier Chocolate Factory (from July 30). He was a founding co-artistic director of Frantic Assembly for which his credits include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (now running in the West End and on Broadway). Other London credits include The Light Princess and Dido Queen of Carthage for the National Theatre, and other Broadway credits include American Idiot, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Last Ship and Rocky The Musical.
Jones is a Tony Award winning set designer (for American Idiot and the Artistic Director of Theatre for One in New York. Other Broadway credits include Spring Awakening (Tony nomination), Hands on a Hardbody, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever and Everyday Rapture.
Lindsay is currently represented in London by the costumes for Bend it Like Beckham and she is currently designing costumes for wonder.land (Manchester International Festival and National Theatre) and Hamlet at the Barbican starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Other credits include American Psycho for the Almeida Theatre, Earthquakes in London for the National Theatre and Love's Labour's Lost for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Heap is also known as one half of Frou Frou. Her music is present in countless films and TV from blockbusters to indies. Amongst her four solo albums, she has gathered 4 Grammy nominations, winning Best Engineered Album, Non classical for Ellipse. In 2010 she received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement.
