Will Wallace Shawn Murder Mystery Come to Broadway With Stephen Dillane? | Playbill

News Will Wallace Shawn Murder Mystery Come to Broadway With Stephen Dillane? Evening at the Talk House, a new murder mystery by Wallace Shawn, will be produced in the fall at London's National Theatre — and is eyeing a Broadway production in 2016 — according to the New York Post.

The Post reports that it will be directed by Ian Rickson (The River) and is described as "a creepy short story" along the lines of "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson and "The Visit" by Friedrich Durrenmatt.

The National held a reading of Evening at the Talk House last fall featuring Alex Jennings (A Midsummer Night's Dream) and Tony Award winner Stephen Dillane (The Real Thing). Both are likely to reprise their performances at the National.

Producer Scott Rudin has the rights, and a Broadway transfer is expected in spring 2016.
