Two-time RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon, who is currently playing a limited, return engagement in Broadway's Chicago, also took part in MCC Theater's annual Miscast concert April 15 at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Monsoon performed every role in the Les Misérables anthem "One Day More," which closes the international hit musical's first act. Watch the performance from Miscast24 in the video above.
Monsoon made Broadway history during her initial Chicago run, becoming the first drag
queen to play the role of Matron Morton on Broadway. She broke box-office records and
played to standing-room-only crowds. Monsoon subsequently played Audrey in the hit Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors.
Miscast—the industry favorite that features Broadway stars performing songs from roles in which they might not be traditionally cast—was available for streaming online through May 12. Performers also included Nicholas Christopher, Gavin Creel, Amber Iman, Brian d'Arcy James, Mykal Kilgore, Tamika Lawrence, Ingrid Michaelson, Lauren Patten, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Lea Salonga, Ryan Vasquez, Vanessa Williams, and Joy Woods. Will Van Dyke served as music director.

This year's concert honored MCC Youth Company alum Nicole Suazo and Jason Robert Brown, whose new musical The Connector recently made its world premiere via the Off-Broadway company.
