Sandler received the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor earlier this month at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

Tony winner Idina Menzel took part in the March 19 salute to Adam Sandler at the 24th annual Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. 

Menzel, who co-starred opposite Sandler in the 2019 film Uncut Gems, poked fun at the actor and writer in her guise as the "Opera Man." Watch the Wicked and Frozen star's performance in the video above. 

The program, with music direction by Michael Bearden, celebrated Sandler’s humor and accomplishments. Other performers included Jennifer Aniston, Judd Apatow, Drew Barrymore, Steve Buscemi, Dana Carvey, Luis Guzmán, Tim Herlihy, Conan O’Brien, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade, and Ben Stiller.

The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor recognizes those who have had an impact on American society in ways similar to 19th century novelist and essayist Samuel Clemens, best known as Mark Twain. As a social commentator, satirist, and creator of characters, Clemens was a fearless observer of society.
