The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the biggest arts festival in the world, with over 3,700 shows. This year, Playbill is in Edinburgh for the festival, and we’re taking you with us. Follow along as we cover every single aspect of the Fringe, aka our real-life Brigadoon!
It was a disappointment to theatre fans when Rob Madge's My Son's a Queer (But What Can You Do) announced that it was postponing its Broadway run. But luckily, Playbill's Ethan Treiman was able to capture Madge's performance of the show at the Edinburgh Fringe (as part of its current U.K. tour). Watch footage from the show above, which follows Madge reliving their childhood, when they put on a full-scale Disney parade in their house for their grandmother.
My Son's a Queer has finished its Fringe run. It will next be performed in Manchester, U.K. Madge is still optimistic that the show will come to Broadway this season.
